Burbank, CA, February 1, 2012 – Legendary Entertainment has promoted veteran production executive Ty Warren to Executive Vice President, Physical Production. Warren previously held the title of Senior Vice President of Production for Legendary, a role he has held since joining the company in 2011. In his new role he reports to Jon Jashni, Legendary’s President and Chief Creative Officer, who made the announcement today.

As part of his purview, Warren is supervising Legendary’s physical production of PACIFIC RIM, directed by Guillermo del Toro, SEVENTH SON, starring Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore, “42” starring Harrison Ford, 300: BATTLE OF ARTEMISIA, the upcoming WRATH OF THE TITANS, and Legendary East’s inaugural project, THE GREAT WALL, directed by Ed Zwick.

“Ty has brought to Legendary a breadth of experience at an integral time for the company,” said Jashni. “Given the increase in our autonomous production activity we will benefit greatly from his focus and leadership.”

Warren previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Production for Dreamworks Pictures where he supervised the production of several high-profile films including TRANSFORMERS and its sequel TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox; REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet; the 2006 smash hit DREAMGIRLS, and the Oscar® winning film SWEENEY TODD, starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton. Prior to joining Dreamworks, Warren was a freelance Producer and Production Supervisor working on such films as the Academy Award® winning film GLADIATOR, Ridley Scott’s KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and the Will Ferrell comedy TALLADEGA NIGHTS.

Warren has deep international experience having worked in 15 different countries. He previously held the roles of Nominating Committee Chairman and AP Council Board Member for the Producers Guild of America. Warren received his BA from Harvard University.
