UPDATE: UTA just officially announced that ICM agents Josh Hornstock and Mickey Berman have joined the agency as agents in television literary department. Additionally, both have been named partners. “Mickey and Josh are two of the best agents working in television today,” said Jay Sures, UTA board member and managing director. “We’re excited they’re joining our team, and we know they’ll play big role in the continued growth of UTA.” Hornstock and Berman were part of the core group of agents at the Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann agency that formed the backbone of ICM’s TV lit department when ICM acquired BWCS in 2006. At ICM, the two represented a number of top TV creators, writers and producers most of whom are expected to follow them to UTA.
PREVIOUS 5 PM: This is a major move in the TV lit representation area. I’ve learned that hot ICM TV lit agents Mickey Berman and Josh Hornstock are moving to UTA. The duo, whose contracts were up at the end of the year, had been in play since late summer when they couldn’t come to an agreement with ICM on new deals.
