WME partner Cara Stein is joining NBCUniversal as SVP and Chief Talent Officer — a newly created role in which she will run all aspects of talent management for the company, including recruiting and training of executives as well as staffing. She will report to Patricia Langer, NBCU’s EVP, Human Resources. “Cara is widely known and highly regarded in our industry for identifying talent and developing careers,” said NBCU’s EVP Pat Fili-Krushel. “I am delighted she’ll be joining our team and bringing her extensive experience and dynamic personality to NBCUniversal.”
Stein, a 25-year veteran of WMA and WME, had been courted for a number of TV network jobs through the years but had remained an agent until now. She most recently served as Partner and Television Packaging agent at WME and oversaw operations and human resources for the WME New York office. She was named to the Board of Directors of the William Morris Agency in 2003. Stein also serves on the Board of Directors for Women at NBCUniversal and the New York Television Festival.
