Warner Bros Settles On 2012 Dates For 'Dark Shadows', 'Rivals' & 'Journey 2'

Warner Bros will release Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows on May 11, 2012, and the Will Ferrell-Zach Galifianakis starrer Rivals on Aug. 10, 2012, the studio announced today. Dark Shadows, based on the cult TV series, stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green and Jackie Earle Haley. Rivals, directed by Jay Roach, centers on the rivalry between a pair of political candidates.

The studio also has found a release date for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island: Jan. 27, 2012. It originally was slated for “sometime in 2012.” Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens star in the family adventure, the sequel to the 2008 hit.
