The season premieres of CW’s Monday dramas 90210 (2.0 million viewers, 1.2/4 in 18-34) and Gossip Girl (1.9 million, 1.3/4 in 18-34) were down double-digits from last year. It total viewers, 90210, which aired Tuesdays at 8PM last season, was off 19%, while the heavily hyped Paris opener of Gossip Girl was down 27%. On a more positive note, this was 90210’s highest-rated episode in total viewers and 18-34 since December 2009, and Gossip Girl was almost flat with its May finale.

ABC’s season finale of Bachelor Pad (1.8/5) was down 10% from last week, hitting series low. The finale of the network’s Dating In the Dark (1.3/4) was up 8%. Also hitting summer low was Fox’s drama Lie to Me (1.5/4) at 9 PM. CBS’s The Big Bang Theory is leaving Mondays in style. In its last foray on the night before relocating to Thursdays next week, a rerun of the hit comedy (2.4 rating/6 share in adults 18-49) was the highest-rated program on any network, followed by its lead-in, Two and a Half Men (2.3/6, also a repeat). With all-reruns, CBS won the night in 18-49 (2.0/5) and total viewers (6.8 million).

Given how strong football has been on NBC so far, it is interesting to see how Monday Night Football did on ESPN last night. I will update when the cable network releases ratings.
