Michael Smith is the high-profile decorator for Steven Spielberg, Rupert Murdoch, Rob Reiner, Brian Grazer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Cindy Crawford, among others. His latest client is the Obama family to design their private quarters in the White House. On the other hand, private donations will subsidize this interior decorating project. And, no, it wasn’t Hollywood that made the Smith intro for the Obamas; it came via Chicago.
