That left the Fox singing competition bested in total viewers for the first time ever by a repeat of The Big Bang Theory (3.0/10) on CBS. In the 8-8:30 PM slot, Big Bang pulled in 11.19 million viewers to Idol’s 11.03 million. Last week’s controversial school-shooting episode still lingered as the characters absorbed the incident, and the show dipped 8% from that April 11 episode.
