EXCLUSIVE Jax Media (TBS’ Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, TVLand’s Younger, etc.) today begins production on the pilot for Colin Quinn’s ensemble comedy Luncheonette. Quinn scripted and stars as Eddie, an ex-cop who runs a quintessential New York coffee shop with a staff as diverse as the Queens borough they’ve all found themselves in. Jax VP and head of development Lilly Burns (Search Party, Broad City) is directing the company-financed project.
Jax also is behind the dark TBS comedy Search Party, Joel Kim Booster’s Birthright for 20th Century Fox, and Jesse Eisenberg’s Bream Gives Me Hiccups. Along with Full Frontal and Broad City,
NYC-based Jax produces Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and Hulu’s Difficult People, among others.
Colin Quinn The New York Story, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, is currently streaming on Netflix. Jax Media’s Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns are executive producing Luncheonette, along with AGI Entertainment’s Brian Stern.
Quinn is repped by AGI Entertainment Media & Management, APA and Grubman Shire & Meiselas.
