The pic will now hit theaters in August 2018 via the resurrected Fangoria label after that horror mag was acquired by Cinestate’s Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk. The plot centers on Edgar (Lennon), recently divorced and reeling, who returns to his childhood home to regroup his life. Girl-next-door Ashley (Pellicer) and his comic book shop boss, Markowitz (Franklin), join Edgar for the doomed road trip. All hell breaks loose when a strange force animates the puppets at the convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree that’s motivated by an evil as old as time.

RLJE’s Mark Ward and Jess De Leo fnegotiated the deal with Sonnier on behalf of Cinestate.
