A reunion celebrating the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Felicity is among the events that have been added to the lineup of the ATX Television Festival, which is set for June 7-10 in Austin. Also planned: a tribute to original Roseanne executive producer Marcy Carsey, who will receive this year’s ATX Award in Television Excellence.
The reunion panel for Felicity, which ran four seasons on the WB from 1998-2002, will include cast members Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Amy Jo Johnson and Ian Gomez, along with director-producer Lawrence Trilling. More panelists are expected to be added.
The fest, in its seventh year, will also host a world premiere sneak peek of FX’s Sons of Anarchy spinoff Mayans MC on June 8, with co-creators Kurt Sutter and Elgin James, executive
producer/director Norberto Barba, and cast members expected as part of the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally in downtown Austin. A screening of an exclusive clip and Q&A
panel at the Paramount Theatre will follow that evening.
Also added: a panel on HBO’s comedies High Maintenance and Crashing; a “TGIHulu” panel repping Hulu’s library programming from the ’90s “TGIF” comedy block including Boy Meets World, Perfect Strangers, Family Matters, Step By Step and Sabrina the Teenage Witch; and a Wynonna Earp panel from Syfy and IDW Entertainment ahead of its third season.
Carsey and her Carsey-Werner Company, along with fellow producer
Tom Werner, executive produced Roseanne, The Cosby Show, A Different World, Third Rock from the Sun and That 70’s Show. As part of the honor she will take part in a conversation spanning her career.
