Mindhunter, executive produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron and already renewed for Season 2, is based on the true story of two FBI agents (played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany) who met with serial killers in order to catch similar criminals, essentially creating the field of profiling. In Season 1 their first subject is Britton’s Kemper, based on the real-life “Co-ed Killer,” who remains in California prison after being convicted of killing 10 people in the mid-1960s and early ’70s including his mother and paternal grandparents.

Britton is busy, currently filming Netflix’s Umbrella Academy and most recently seen in HBO’s new Bill Hader series Barry. On the film side, Britton next will appear in Sony’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web opposite Claire Foy.

He continues to be repped by Velocity Entertainment Partners.
