Former iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove has joined CBS’ high-profile multi-camera/hybrid comedy pilot History of Them, from One Day at a Time co-creator/executive producer Gloria Calderon Kellett, Sony Pictures TV and CBS TV Studios.

Written by Kellett and to be directed by Pam Fryman, the semi-autobiographical History of Them is a multi-cultural (Latinx and white) ensemble that revolves around two friends, Luna (Ana Villafañe) and Adam (Brett Dier), and how they fell in love, using the couple’s social media (Instagram/Twitter/FB) as a guide.

Cosgrove will narrate the pilot in the voice of the daughter.

Cast also includes Brett Dier, Ana Villafañe, Felix Solis, Lisa Vidal, Amit Shah, Caitlin McGee and Chris Powell.

Villafañe’s smart and spunky Luna runs a successful Latinx food truck business with her parents. Despite this, she struggles with what she wants and doesn’t feel like a full-fledged grownup yet. She wants to find love and figure out who she is separate from her very tight-knit family, and her journey will be full of bumps and bruises as she navigates the rest of her 20s.

Kellett executive produces via her Glo Nation banner alongside Marc Provissiero of Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment and Fryman.

Cosgrove is known for her starring roles as Carly Shaw in iCarly and Shea Moore in Crowded. On the film side her credits include the voice role of Margo in the Despicable Me franchise. Cosgrove is repped by WME and Anonymous Content.
