Thriller Films has sealed a multi-production deal with Cairo-based Aroma Studios and United Brothers Partnership who have an eye on cracking the American film and TV market. First up in the three-company pact is First List, an hourlong eight-episode drama series toplined by Aussie Martin Dingle Wall.

Under the co-production deal, Thriller International will sell the finished project to a network and/or major digital platform. Shooting is already underway in Los Angeles.

The series, directed by Majdi Smiri, centers on Will Scott (Wall), one of the FBI’s leading crypto-analysts who is hired to crack a heavily coded document discovered by the FBI. He soon discovers it’s a hit list, putting him in the cross-hairs of the bad guys who want it back. A double-cross makes Will one of the FBI’s most wanted as he struggles to save those on the hit list.

Aroma Studios is one of the largest production and postproduction houses in the Middle East, with offices in Cairo and Dubai focused on commercials and feature film work. United Brothers’ credits include Sorry for the Disturbance, She Made Me a Criminal and Justified Betrayal.

The newly formed genre outfit Thriller Films launched last month at the American Film Market topped by Justin Jones, Rhett Giles and Zeus Zamani. Its film slate includes Angels Fallen starring Michael Madsen, Escape: Puzzle of Fear with Omar Gooding and Nick Turturro, and the Jessica Morris-starring American Exorcism.
