EXCLUSIVE: Franco Nero and The Vampire Diaries actor Chris Brochu have joined Alexander Ludwig and Sam Keeley to round out the cast of Enderby Entertainment’s action-thriller, Peace, directed by Robert Port. It follows four American soldiers set out on the grueling ascent of an Italian mountainside in the closing days of WWII, haunted by their evil sergeant’s cold-blooded murder of a young woman and with an old Italian man of uncertain loyalties as their guide.

The pic, which is currently filming in British Columbia, was written by Port, based on Richard Bausch’s bestselling novel. Enderby’s Rick Dugdale is producing with Richard Bullock, while talk show host Maury Povich and Ludwig serve as executive producers.

UTA Independent Film Group is handling worldwide rights for the film.

Nero is best known for his roles in films like the 1966 western Django, Camelot (1967), Die Hard 2, and more recently John Wick: Chapter 2 and Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.

In addition to TVD, Brochu has appeared on the Showtime’s Shameless as well as films Dawn Patrol and Soul Surfer.

Nero is repped by Muse Management and Chatto & Linnit in the UK. Brochu is repped by APA and Semler Entertainment.
