EXCLUSIVE: Better Things co-creator, star and executive producer Pamela Adlon has parted ways with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Dave Becky as her manager in a fallout from the Louis C.K. sexual misconduct scandal. Becky was C.K.’s longtime manager until Friday afternoon, when 3 Arts fired the comedian following last week’s New York Times exposé, which featured five women accusing him of sexual misconduct, and C.K.’s admission Friday morning that the claims of him mastrubating in front of the women were true.

I hear Adlon fired Becky over the weekend. Adlon, a longtime friend and collaborator of C.K., who co-created Better Things with her and served as an executive producer on the acclaimed FX comedy series until FX Networks severed ties with him Friday, issued a statement that same day. Adlon wrote that she and her family were “devastated and in shock after the admission of abhorrent behavior by my friend and partner, Louis C.K.” She said she felt “deep sorrow and empathy for the women who have come forward” and asked for privacy for herself and her family.

Earlier today, Becky released a lengthy written formal apology for his involvement in the C.K. scandal. The NYT story alleged that Becky had made threatening remarks toward two of the women for speaking out about the incident. “What I did was wrong, and … I am extremely sorry,” Becky wrote.

Becky is a comedy heavyweight whose client list also includes Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari and Amy Poehler.
