The sexual misconduct allegations against Matt Lauer continue to pile on as he has been accused of sexting NBC female staffers and an intern.

The alleged inappropriate and lewd messages were the reason that he was fired so quickly from NBC, according to New York Post. The messages were saved by an NBC employee who Lauer approached during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The messages “showed incontrovertible proof of inappropriate sexual behavior on his part.”

NBC News President Andy Lack said that Lauer’s involvement with the unnamed woman, who is still employed at NBC continued after they returned to New York.

NBC News fired longtime Today show anchor Matt Lauer Monday night after receiving a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace. The stunning news was announced on the program earlier this morning by Savannah Guthrie, who was seated with Hoda Kotb in Lauer’s place at her side.

Lauer’s termination comes just one week after CBS News fired its morning show co-host Charlie Rose over sexual harassment claims, ending his five-year run on CBS This Morning and as a 60 Minutes correspondent.
