EXCLUSIVE: Laika founder and Kubo and the Two Strings director Travis Knight has signed with CAA. The film marked Knight’s feature directorial debut, and this is his first agency inking as a stand-alone filmmaker.

Knight created and is CEO and president of Laika, the Oregon-based animation house that has produced the likes of Coraline, ParaNorman and The Boxtrolls, the latter of which was nominated for a Best Animated Feature Oscar last year.

Kubo is in the awards-season mix; it was named Best Animated Feature by the National Board of Review and received 10 Annie Award nominations including Best Animated Feature.
