Set in present day and based on the iconic Archie Comics characters, Riverdale, from Warner Bros TV, is a surprising and subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade.
Having left Riverdale two years ago to follow her dreams, Ringwald’s Mary comes back to town in her family’s hour of need. She not only reconnects with Archie and her husband, Fred, but also her former high school gal-pals Hermione and Alice, just in time for a Homecoming Dance. Ringwald joins a cast that includes Marisol Nichols (Hermione), K.J. Apa (Archie), Cole Sprouse (Jughead), Camila Mendes (Veronica), and Lili Reinhart (Betty).
Ringwald, known for the 1980s John Hughes films Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, stars as Paige in Raising Expectations on Family Channel and recently recurred on Bravo’s Odd Mom Out. Her credits also include The Secret Life of the American Teenager and feature Jem and the Holograms. She’s repped by Untitled Entertainment and Barking Dog Entertainment.
