Pongalo, the Latino-focused digital content company formerly known as Latin Everywhere, continues to expand. The company, which owns rights to more than 10,000 hours of Spanish-language film and TV content including more telenovelas that any other digital service, is now putting its newly launched on-demand subscription service on Vizio-parent company LeEco’s smart TVs and devices.
Under the new deal which takes effect in 2017, Pongalo will headline LeEco’s LeLatino content vertical. Its contend will also be available through LeEco’s LeLive application, which features subscription offerings from the likes of MGM and Lionsgate.
The deal comes after Pongalo last month launched its $5.99-per-month subscription service on Apple and Android devices and the web. It already licenses its IP to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon, and is set to pass 3 billion views on its YouTube channel this year.
In July, LeEco said it was acquiring U.S. TV manufacturer Vizio for $2 billion.
