Legendary has bolstered its film production team with hiring of Herbert W. Gains as EVP Physical Production, Valerie Flueger Veras SVP Post- Production and Sara Flamm as SVP Physical Production.

“Herb comes to us with a tremendous body of experience working alongside some of the most prolific filmmakers in our industry,” said Mary Parent, Legendary’s Vice Chairman of Worldwide Production, who made the announcement. “His strong business acumen and commitment to supporting the vision of storytellers with preeminent production resources makes him an excellent complement to our team here at Legendary.”

Gains, who will report directly to Parent effective immediately, was an exec producer on such films as Jack Reacher: Never Go BackThe Judge and Watchmen. His responsibilities at Legendary will include overseeing production of its feature film slate including Pacific Rim: Uprising, Pokémon’s Detective Pikachu and Godzilla: King of Monsters. Gains will also work closely with the post-production team to ensure that the filmmaker’s vision remains intact through production to final distribution.

Flueger Veras is a seasoned executive who has led the post-production efforts on films including The Revenant, Selma and Nebraska. She immediately will begin overseeing post on Legendary’s spring action film Kong: Skull Island.

Flamm most recently worked alongside Gains as unit production manager on Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and the upcoming film Geostorm. She also has worked as Production Supervisor on films including The JudgeGreen Lantern and Watchmen. In her new role, she has already begun work on the production of Pacific Rim: Uprising, which is shooting in Australia.
