Kanye West paid a visit to President-elect Donald Trump today at Trump Tower, one of the first public sightings of West following his recent hospitalization.

The two stopped for a brief time in the lobby of Trump Tower, with Trump telling reporters he and the rapper have been “friends for a long time.” For his part, West wouldn’t talk about the meeting with Trump, and deflected a question about whether he wishes he’d voted for Trump. A smiling West said, ” I just want to take a picture right now.”

West had asked for a 15-minute meeting with Trump, transition spokeswoman Hope Hicks told CNN.

During his November concert in San Jose and before his recent hospitalization for exhaustion, West told the crowd he would have voted for Trump on Election Day, if only he had voted. He also announced he would run for POTUS in 2020 — in which case he’s likely to be running against Trump. West previously made headlines saying he might make a run at the White House in 2020.
