‘Suits’: USA Sets Midseason Return Date, Offers Sneak Peek At Rest Of Season 6

USA Network has tied down a premiere date for the second half of Season 6 for Suits. The Manhattan-set legal drama, which already has been renewed for Season 7, will return with six episodes starting at 10 PM January 25.

USA Network

The series will pick up immediately after the midseason cliffhanger that left Pearson Specter Litt in the hands of managing partners Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman). The pair is forced to put aside their professional ambitions and personal animosities in an effort to come together to keep their struggling firm afloat after the departure of Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). Now more than ever, they will rely on the wit and intuition of Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), their most trusted advisers, to keep them on track. Finally reunited with Rachel, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) re-adjusts to life outside of prison and navigates the reality that he is no longer a lawyer. Meanwhile, love is in the air following Louis’ proposal to his pregnant girlfriend, Tara (Carly Pope).

The series from Universal Cable Productions was created by Aaron Korsh, who executive produces with Doug Liman, David Bartis, Gene Klein, Daniel Arkin and Rick Muirragui. Check out the teaser above for the remainder of Season 6, which so far is averaging 3.5MM total viewers in Live+7.

Louis is getting married. Does this mean that we’re going to see Amy Acker’s character again? I bet Esther wouldn’t miss her brother’s wedding.
My only wish is for Suits to treat Amy’s character with more respect this time.

great show, is it not making any money, that it can’t make more than 6 episodes per half season?

It is the second half of their season. They do 2 6 episode segments per year. Yes, it is a great show

it has 16 episode seasons, 10 for the summer (aka the open season for cable) and then a back 6 for the winter (aka the competitive season for cable). This has been the USA model for quite some time, it is only more recently they have went back to airing complete seasons in a row with Mr Robot Colony now Falling Water Eyewitness etc. (after the first season that is, even shows like Burn Notice, White Collar, and Royal Pains had first seasons of twelve episodes that aired straight through the summer, then each returned with 16 episodes for each of its later seasons, excluding special final seasons, where they did 10 in the summer and 6 in the winter… so Suits is the last of these types of series for USA)

Oh boy! We get a whole new 6 episodes. I HATE these split seasons.

me 3! I don’t understand 6 shows twice a year. Look at NCIS. They are so popular and have a new show almost every week.

I don’t understand why USA cannot create more than 12 shows a year of Suits. Less than 25% of a year. The show gets good ratings. You barely get into the second half of the series before it is over again. This show is probably the best show that is aired on USA. We want more.
