Amazon has dropped the third season trailer for its Golden Globe-winning comedic drama series Mozart in the Jungle.
It picks up with Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) taking on a brand new artistic challenge: conducting the great opera diva Alessandra (Monica Bellucci) in her long-awaited return concert in Venice, Italy. Meanwhile, Hailey (Lola Kirke) finds a passion for conducting as she travels across Europe with the Andrew Walsh Ensemble. There’s also lots of tension and anxiety, with the symphony torn apart since the lockout. Many of the players can’t be in the same room as each other and tense negotiations have become personal for Cynthia and Gloria. The musicians are challenged to become individuals again, confronting life without their orchestra family at the center. Malcolm McDowell, Saffron Burrows, Bernadette Peters, Hannah Dunne and Peter Vack also star.
Mozart in the Jungle is a half hour comedic drama based on the critically acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall. Roman Coppola, Paul Weitz, Jason Schwartzman, Will Graham executive produce.
Season 3 premieres on December 9. Check out the trailer above.
