Here’s the latest look at the joyful musical romance starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling that dazzleed ’em at Venice and went on to play Telluride and Toronto. The new trailer is packed with gorgeous imagery — though there’s only a peek at that talked-about freeway song-and-dance number — and dotted with memorable lines: “You could just write your own roles; you know, write something that’s as interesting as you are.” “How are you gonna be a revolutionary is you’re such a traditionalist?” “This is the dream: It’s conflict and it’s compromise and it’s very, very exciting.”

La La Land is the first film written and directed by Damien Chazelle since his Best Picture Oscar nominee WhiplashJohn Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott and Josh Pence co-star in the Summit pic, which Lionsgate releases December 9.
