Wish Upon, the horror thriller that stars The Conjuring‘s Joey King and Ryan Phillippe just added The Maze Runner’s Ki Hong Lee to its cast. Directed by Annabelle‘s John Leonetti from a script by Barbara Marshall (Viral), Wish Upon is the first horror film to come out of Broad Green Entertainment. The story follows a 17 year-old girl (King) who is bullied in high school and embarrassed by her hoarder father (Phillippe) who receives a music box that grants the owner seven wishes. After each wish, someone close to her dies.
Also in the film are Elisabeth Röhm (Joy), Sherilyn Fenn, Alice Lee (Son Of Zorn), and newcomers Mitchell Slaggert and Josephine Langford.
Busted Shark’s Sherryl Clark (Cloverfield) produces. Broad Green Pictures’ Gabriel Hammond and Daniel Hammond are executive producers. The film started production on Saturday in Toronto.
