Seth Meyers opened Late Night with some of his biggest swings yet at Donald Trump’s transition moves:

“One of Donald Trump’s potential Attorney Generals is reportedly already working on a plan to make Muslims register with the government.

“Does anyone see a problem with that, or do you Nazi?” Meyers asked.

(Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, a Trump adviser/possible attorney-general candidate,  this week told Reuters the Trump administration-in-progress is mulling a policy proposal to register immigrants and visitors from Muslim countries. One year ago this week, candidate Trump said he was open to such a registry, then walked it back, tweeting: “I didn’t suggest a database-a reporter did. We must defeat Islamic terrorism & have surveillance, including a watch list, to protect America.”)

Meyers also took a swipe at Veep-elect Mike Pence who, as governor of Indiana, last year signed a bill allowing business owners to cite “religious beliefs” to refuse service to gay and lesbian customers.

“Vice President Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Mike Pence had lunch together this afternoon and just to piss him off, Biden told the waiter it was their anniversary.”
