In his new role, Buccieri will add oversight of A+E Studios and be in charge of all business aspects for the A+E Networks’ brand portfolio, including A&E, History, Lifetime, FYI and LMN. He will continue to handle major business negotiations for all networks.
“The growth of A+E Studios is a major priority for us as content ownership and capabilities are vital for our future growth,” said A+E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc, to whom Buccieri will continue to report. “With his wealth of experience successfully running ITV and the extraordinary business acumen he has displayed during his tenure at A+E, I am confident Paul will lead the team to new heights and drive strong results.”
At A+E Studios, Buccieri succeeds Bob DeBitetto, who announced that he would be leaving his post as president at the end of the year. A+E Studios’ EVP Barry Jossen now will report to Buccieri.
Since Buccieri joined A+E Networks as president of A&E and History in 2014, Dubuc has installed seasoned top creative executives at both networks: Lifetime’s Robert Sharenow (A&E) and FYI’s Jana Bennett (History). Buccieri’s new business-focused, portfolio-wide role streamlines the executive responsibilities across the company.
Buccieri has a diverse background, with extensive experience in worldwide production, distribution, syndication and digital. Before joining A+E Networks, he was Chairman of ITV Studios U.S. Group & ITV Studios Global Entertainment, where he oversaw the building of the independent studio and led ITV’s international television distribution and consumer products business.
