Straight Outta Compton‘s Neil Brown Jr. has joined topliners Marlon Waynes and Regina Hall in Netflix’s Naked, a remake of the Swedish film Naken. Michael Tiddes is directing the pic from a script by Cory Koller, Wayans and Rick Alvarez. Production is said to start this month on the film, which will debut on the streaming site in 2017. The romantic comedy centers around Rob Anderson. When his wedding day comes along and it’s clear he’s still got a few personal issues to deal with, he winds up repeating the same miserable few hours over and over again. Brown will play Officer McBride, a wry-humored Charleston cop. Up next, he can be seen in HBO’s new comedy Insecure and in the Netflix film Sandcastle. Brown is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates and David Dean Management.
