“When you love someone, you have to be careful with it. You might never get it again.” The official trailer has arrived for Focus Features’ Nocturnal Animals from writer/director Tom Ford. Starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the haunting romantic thriller bows in theaters on November 18, in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, and expands nationwide December 9.
The film, based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright, is a story about a successful Los Angeles art gallery owner whose life is jarred when she receives a manuscript written by her first husband, whom she has not seen in years. As the woman reads the book, she is forced to face the dark past. Oscar nominees Adams and Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering truths about each other and themselves.
Isla Fisher, Karl Glusman, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Andrea Riseborough, and Michael Sheen co-star.
