Andrew Whitney has come aboard Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary’s Revelations Entertainment as Vice President of Factual Development. In his new post, which reports to EVP of Factual James Younger, Whitney will be in charge of growing the company’s original documentary and unscripted slate.

“After an amazing year with four factual series on the air and an Emmy nomination, we’re thrilled to have Andrew on board to drive our growth in quality factual series and docs in 2017 and beyond,” said Younger.

Before Revelations, Whitney served as Senior Director of Development for Discovery Channel, where he developed unscripted series for the cable network, including the new competition show, The Wheel. Prior to this, he was positioned as Director of Development at Syfy, where he oversaw Face Off, Ghost Hunters, and Paranormal Witness and developed several other series such as Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge and Wizard Wars.
