EXCLUSIVE: Mark Polish, the writer-director-actor who is just wrapping up postproduction on his directorial debut Headlock, has signed with APA.

Headlock stars Dianna Agron, Andy Garcia and James Frain and centers on a severely injured intelligence trafficker, played by Polish, whose former operative-wife (Agron) finds out more than she bargained for when investigating her husband’s last mission.

Polish arrived on the indie film scene at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival with Twin Falls Idaho, a pic about conjoined twins that he co-wrote and starred in with his identical twin brother Michael Polish. The pair’s writing credits include Jackpot and Northfork and The Astronaut Farmer — all directed by Michael and featuring Mark as actor. Mark had solo writing credit on 2011’s For Lovers Only, which he also starred in alongside Stana Katic.

Mark Polish also co-wrote the 2005 book The Declaration Of Independent Filmmaking, a guide to writing, shooting, editing, scoring and distributing films.

He remains repped by manager Oren Segal and Barnes Morris Klein & Yorn.
