Mark Duplass has joined the cast of Tully, the Charlize Theron-starring motherhood themed comedy that reunites her with the Young Adult director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody. Currently in production, the film follows Marlo (Theron), a mother of three including a newborn, who is gifted a night nanny by her brother. Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully. Duplass can be seen on the big screen opposite Sarah Paulson in Blue Jay, a Duplass brothers-produced film which he wrote, out this Friday. He is repped by ICM Partners and Sloane Offer.

Actress and singer Eiza González has been cast in Fox’s Alita: Battle Angel, the Robert Rodriguez-directed film based on Yukito Kishiro’s popular manga graphic novels. James Cameron will co-write the script with Laeta Kalogridis. Set in a 26th-century dystopian future, the film follows the story of an amnesiac cyborg who, after being rescued from a scrap heap by a doctor, becomes a bounty hunter tracking down criminals. Cameron will also produce alongside Jon Landau as the film is set for release in July 2018. The marks the second collaboration between Rodriguez and González, who co-stars in his El Rey Network series From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. She can next be seen in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, which Sony will release March 2017. González is repped by CAA and Management 360.
