Made in NY Media Center is reteaming with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment for a second year on Made in NY Fellowships, a year-long program that strives to foster a diverse media industry and provide resources and opportunities for New Yorkers to bring their media projects to the next level.
The program will award ten fellowships to individuals and teams working on projects ranging from filmmaking to virtual reality and media/technology. As part of this program, fellows will be mentored by industry leaders and have the opportunity to attend a variety of networking and industry events. In addition, recipients will receive 12 months of incubator membership at the Made in NY Media Center, where they will be provided with space to cultivate their work in a collaborative environment.
Applications are due November 1 and individual entrepreneurs as well as both for-profit and non-profit companies will be eligible to apply. A shortlist of candidates will be invited to present in front of a review panel made up of industry leaders. The ten finalists will be named on November 21 with the program set to begin December 1.
