Freeform has put in development the comedy Bad Dates from Veep’s Timothy Simons, Black List scribes Derek Elliott and Jack Donaldson and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Co-written by Elliott and Donaldson, Bad Dates will feature re-enactments of regular everyday people’s worst and most awkward dating experiences. Simons, who plays Congressman Jonah Ryan on Veep, will not act in the show but will serve as producer. Brillstein’s Ben Curtis will executive produce.
