Carolina Bartczak, most recently seen in X-Men: Apocalypse as Erik Lehnsherr/ Magneto’s wife Magda, has been cast in the Nick Wernham-directed comedy Business Ethics. From Innis Lake Entertainment and Know Rules Media, Bartczak will play the hard-edged Amanda Dean, Zachery Cranston’s (Larenz Tate) business nemesis. The pic is based on Wernham’s short about a man who sets out to run a Ponzi scheme. Sanzhar Sultan will produce, with Tate, Richard Wernham, Loudon Owen, Jai Khanna and LaRon Tate set as executive producers. Her other film credits include The Smurfs 2 and Brick Mansions. She is repped by The Characters Talent Agency.

Erica Ash has joined Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn, Liza Lapira, Famke Janssen and Ellen Burstyn in indie pic A Little Something For Your Birthday. Written and helmed by Susan Walter, the film is about an aspiring fashion designer struggling to find success and love. The story cuts to her life once a year, always on the same date, her birthday.  Shooting will take place in LA with Rob Carliner, Eric Brenner and Matthew Brady producing. Ash is a series regular on Starz’s Survivor’s Remorse. She also co-stars in the TV One’s movie Jean of the Joneses, which premieres on October 23. Ash is repped by APA.
