Paramount Pictures has dropped a new trailer for its period war drama Allied, the story of an intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. After reuniting in London, the rekindle their romance and get married, but then the intelligence officer is given some disturbing and frightening news: His wife and the mother of his child is a German spy. The conflict that follows and the mystery of whether she is or isn’t then unfolds.

The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis from a script by Steven Knight, will be released on November 23, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. The war-torn romancer was produced by Zemeckis, Graham King and Steve Starkey. Executive producers are Knight, Jack Rapke, Denis O’Sullivan and Patrick McCormick.
