Rita Wilson (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2) and How I Met Your Mother alumna Lyndsy Fonseca have been tapped to guest star on Fox’s Pitch, Dan Fogelman’s baseball drama series. Written by Fogelman and Rick Singer and directed by Paris Barclay, Pitch follows Ginny (Kylie Bunbury), a young pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.

Wilson will play Andra, a specialized psychiatrist who the team hires to meet with Ginny. Fonseca is Cara, a carefree waitress who befriends Ginny and shows her how normal people her age live.

Wilson was most recently seen as Anna in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which she also produced, and can currently be seen at LA’s Geffen Playhouse in Liner Notes: Songwriters, Stories and Music. A singer and songwriter, Wilson released her self-titled second album in March, and toured with Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famers Chicago this summer. She’s repped by CAA.

Fonseca’s credits include a long run as the daughter on How I Met Your Mother, and most recently recurring roles on RePlay, Agent Carter and Grandfathered. She’s repped by ICM and Management 360.
