Amazon is moving forward on Novak (working title), a new documentary series about Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic set to air exclusively on Amazon Prime in the U.S., UK, Germany, Austria and Japan. The series will follow Djokovic, the winner of 12 Grand Slam titles, to explore what drives the champion and show his motivation to be the best man he can be on and off the court.

Based on a concept by Alberto Scarpetta and Djokovic, John Henion (Fearless, Chef’s Table, Road to the Show) will serve as showrunner with The WorkShop (The Haney Project, The Vince Papale Story) and Film 45 (On Freddie Roach, Live to Tell) jointly producing. Film 45 founder Peter Berg, The WorkShop’s Tom Farrell and Todd Donnelly, Film 45’s Matthew Goldberg and Brandon Carroll, The Alternative Co.’s John Ferriter, Djokovic, and Scarpetta will executive produce. Henion and former pro tennis player Boris Kodjoe will serve as co-executive producers, with former UCLA All American and NCAA Champion Philipp Gruendler aboard as Consulting Producer.

Djokovic. the world’s number-one ranked tennis player, is the third Men’s tennis player in history to hold all four Grand Slam championship titles at once.
