Among the highlights: The six-episode first installment of Syfy’s original anthology series Channel Zero: Candle Cove premieres Tuesday, October 11 at 9/8c. It’s based on an unnerving tale written by Kris Straub that gained notoriety online as a popular “creepypasta” (user-generated horror stories that are published and passed around the internet).

The month-long spook-a-thon also features the Syfy movie premieres of horror pics Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Zombieland, The Strangers, Cabin in the Woods, Wrong Turn, Maleficent, I, Frankenstein and Drag Me to Hell. Additionally, five original Syfy fright films will air on Saturday nights, including The Crooked Man (which kicks off the month of programming on October 1), Stake Land 2 and The Night Before Halloween. New episodes of Van Helsing, Aftermath and Z Nation will also continue to air throughout the month.
