Dem Veep nominee and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine will make his first appearance on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show next Thursday.

Elected to the Senate in 2012, Kaine was selected as Hillary Clinton’s running mate on June 22. A former missionary and civil rights attorney, Kaine is one of only 20 people to have served as a mayor, governor and senator.

Colbert’s show is making a big push for buzz/ratings in the presidential cycle. Last week, CBS Corp’s Showtime announced the former Colbert Report faux newsman would anchor a live Election Night special for the pay cable network.

Late Show also announced, during TCA, it would air live following three of the four election-cycle debates between Trump and Clinton.

That on the heels of Colbert’s buzzy RNC and DNC week live shows, that included the return of Jon Stewart to the “news” desk during Donald Trump’s coronation as GOP nominee for the White House.
