Written by the Sonntag brothers, the project centers on a young married couple who, after suffering a life-changing incident, decide to get back at the man responsible by threatening to reveal his infidelity to his fiancée. But when things turn out to be more sinister than the couple originally thought, a dark game of cat-and-mouse sets them on the path to knowing what it means to be a real-life power couple.

Paul will produce via his Lucid Road shingle alongside John and Thomas Sonntag. Universal TV is the studio. The project stems from the first-look deal Lucid Road Prods inked with Uni TV in conjunction with Breaking Bad alum Paul’s casting as the male lead of the studio’s Hulu drama The Path, on which he also serves as a producer.

This is the first television sale for the Sonntag brothers. On the feature side, they sold their spec Warden to New Line, and are developing their project CTRL with Amy Baer’s Gidden Media.

In addition to this project, Paul’s Lucid Road has The Street set up at AMC, with Gran Via and ITV, and several other projects at Universal TV. He also executive produces and voices the character Todd Chavez in Netflix’s adult animated comedy Bojack Horseman.

Paul and the Sonntags are repped by UTA. The Sonntags also are repped by Mosaic and Jeff Frankel.
