There’s movement at National CineMedia’s C-Suite today with the naming of a new CFO, and new titles for the two execs who had served as co-interim CFOs since March 2013.

Katie Scherping landed the CFO job at the leading cinema ad sales company. She had been CFO at Quiznos since December 2013, and helped to guide the restaurant chain through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy financial restructuring in 2014. She briefly served as interim CEO when Doug Pendergast left the job early this past June.

With her appointment, National CineMedia moved David Oddo from co-interim CFO to treasurer. Fellow co-interim CFO Jeffrey Cabot becomes controller.

Scherping “has terrific leadership skills and valuable experience as both a private and public company CFO,” National CineMedia CEO Andy England says. “She brings a great perspective to NCM’s senior leadership team, and I look forward to working together with her to implement our new company strategy and vision to be the connector between brands and movie audiences.”

Before she joined Quiznos, Scherping spent six years as CFO at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. She has also worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen and in accounting positions at companies in the oil and gas industry, security alarm monitoring, telecommunications, technology, and restaurant industries.
