In a surprise move, former Disney, BBC Worldwide and Zodiak Rights exec, Steve Macallister, has exited his most recent post as CEO of All3Media International. The departure comes less than 16 months after he took over the reins from Louise Pedersen who left to run UK operations at Colin Callender’s Playground Entertainment. Gary Woolf, EVP Commercial Development, and CFO/COO John Wagener are to take over interim charge in the wake of Macallister’s exit which was first reported by TBI Vision. There was no reason given.
All3Media International is the distribution arm of parent company All3Media, which is 50/50 owned by Discovery and Liberty Global. Its catalog includes over 7,000 hours of content across all genres, with a focus on drama, comedy, factual and entertainment. Among titles it reps are Midsomer Murders, The Missing, Indian Summers, Skins, Gogglebox, Undercover Boss, TOWIE and The Gadget Show.
All3Media’s stable of production companies includes Neal Street Productions, New Pictures, Company Pictures, Studio Lambert and Gordon Ramsay’s One Potato Two Potato.
The group provided the following statement to Deadline from CEO Jane Turton, “Steve Macallister has left All3Media, we’d like to thank him for his work and wish him all the best for the future.” A replacement is expected in the coming weeks.
Macallister was formerly CEO of Zodiak Rights, a position he held for one year before joining All3. Prior to that, he was BBC Worldwide President and Managing Director and spent 14 years at Disney.
