Cable network Pop at TCA today announced a premiere date for Nightcap, its comedy from Lionsgate about a late-night TV talent booker who deals with A-list celebrities, and has set a number of big-name guests to appear.
The 10-episode series starring Ali Wentworth premieres at 8 PM November 16 and will feature guests including Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Paul Rudd, Kelly Ripa, Debra Messing, Whoopi Goldberg, George Stephanopoulos, Denis Leary, Michael J. Fox, Andy Cohen, Mark Cuban, Mark Consuelos, Jim Gaffigan, Janeane Garofalo, Mariska Hargitay, Jim Norton, Rosie Perez and Joel Schumacher.
The logline: Insanity, absurdity and urgency reign backstage at Nightcap with Jimmy, and it’s up to head talent booker Staci (Wentworth) to wrangle her dysfunctional staff as well as the myriad celebrities who bring their quirks, diva demands and peculiar antics each week.
Nightcap is produced by Lionsgate Television, Dakota Pictures and Trout the Dog Productions. Executive producers are Wentworth, Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack of Free 90 Media, Troy Miller, and Lydia Tenaglia, Chris Collins and Craig Shepherd of Zero Point Zero Production.
