Marinello is charged with driving Turner’s corporate communications efforts, including brand reputation; messaging across all external owned, digital and social media platforms; media relations; thought leadership; and the overall coordinated communications strategy. He will report to Lauren Hurvitz, Turner’s EVP and global chief communications and corporate marketing officer.
“Michael understands the intersection of messaging, storytelling, technology and media relations and takes an entrepreneurial and agile approach to the role communications plays in and for an organization,” Hurvitz said. “He grasps the connective tissue of these elements and delivers strategic outcomes, using data and analytics to measure success.”
At Bloomberg, Marinello held simultaneous roles as senior adviser and chief spokesman at Bloomberg Philanthropies and as director of global communications and spokesman for C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Before that, he was director of communications for Microsoft Office.
