Matt Lauria (Kingdom, Friday Night Lights), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Pitch Perfect, The Mindy Project) and Malcolm Barrett (Timeless, Dear White People) have joined the cast of Dimension 404, Hulu’s six-episode sci-fi/fantasy anthology scripted series from RocketJump and Lionsgate.

Inspired by the Internet’s “404” error code, Dimension 404 aims to evoke that 3 AM feeling of wandering onto the weird side of the web and stumbling upon stories that cannot be explained in the world that we know.

In one episode, Lauria will play Evan, a handsome and good-natured boyfriend-turned-husband, who helps his family try to normalize their lives in a deadly post-apocalyptic world.

In another episode, Ambudkar will play Alex, a studious, shy physics grad student whose limits of friendship are tested when Sue (Ashley Rickards) drags him into a time-travel adventure from a 90’s cartoon, suddenly made real.

In yet another episode, Barrett will play Chris, a brilliant, basement-dwelling programmer for the NSA’s top secret data-collection program. He joins Megan Mullally and Constance Wu who also star in this episode.

The three join previously announced Sarah Hyland, Patton Oswalt, Ashley Rickards, Joel McHale, Lea Michele, Ryan Lee and Sterling Beaumon.

Dez Dolly created the series with Will Campos, and Dolly is executive producer/showrunner. Co-creators are Dan Johnson and David Welch. Freddie Wong and Matthew Arnold are also exec producers.

Lauria is repped by WME Entertainment and Principal Entertainment LA. Ambudkar is with The Gersh Agency and 3 Arts Entertainment. Barrett is with The Gersh Agency and Management 360.
