EXCLUSIVE: Zach Braff has committed to direct Bump, the black comic script by Ori Guendelman and Rob McClelland that made the 2015 Black List. Working Title is backing the project, and WT partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing. WT’s Liza Chasin is exec producer and Johanna Byer will oversee it. Bump tells the story of the single most important night in Thomas’ life, where one mistake sets into motion a series of absurd events that threaten to unravel the clichéd life he’s worked so hard to build. This wild ride calls into question the balance between ambition and morality and the dubious decisions made in pursuit of the American Dream. Braff just wrapped helming Going In Style, the Warner Bros remake that stars Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin. the studio will release the film April 7, 2017. Braff is repped by CAA, Management 360, and attorney Ken Richman of Hansen, Jacobson; Guendelman and McClelland are repped by Paradigm, 3 Arts, and attorney Tara Kole of Gang, Tyre.

The prolific Working Title is in post-production on the Tomas Alfredson-directed The Snowman with Michael Fassbender, the Edgar Wright-directed Baby Driver, with Bridget Jones’s Baby bowing September 16, with director Sharon Maguire reteaming with Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth on the continuation of the story line from the Helen Fielding novels.
