EXCLUSIVE: WME has signed acclaimed filmmaker Ramin Bahrani. The versatile Bahrani has a string of well-regarded indie credits and has established himself as one of the freshest voices in contemporary American cinema.
Most recently he wrote and directed the critically lauded feature 99 Homes. The film, which starred Michael Shannon, Andrew Garfield and Laura Dern, featured on a number of critics’ best-of-year lists. Other credits from the 41-year-old filmmaker include At Any Price, which starred Dennis Quaid and Zac Efron; Goodbye Solo; the brilliant immigrant drama Man Push Cart, which won Bahrani the Fipresci prize at the London Film Festival; and Chop Shop, for which Bahrani won the Someone to Watch Independent Spirit Award.
Bahrani is currently adapting Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 for HBO, which he is also attached to direct. He was previously repped by CAA.
