Nick Meyer’s Sierra/Affinity has enjoyed a strong Cannes with a number of its titles selling out on what has elsewhere been a challenging market for sales agents. Sierra/Affinity, of which Meyer’s Sierra Pictures has been boosted following a capital injection and minority stake acquisition from Entertainment One, had one of the strongest offerings on the Croisette this year, with Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut Molly’s Game, to star Jessica Chastain, Jason Reitman-Diablo Cody reunion Tully starring Charlize Theron; Anon from Andrew Niccol and K5 Media Group; Above Suspicion from director Phillip Noyce; and Ron Shelton’s Villa Capri. The slate also included Laurel & Hardy pic Stan & Ollie, directed by Jon S. Baird and produced by the dynamic Brit Faye Ward.

Other titles being sold included Captain Fantastic and Hell or High Water. Both films played in Un Certain Regard with Captain Fantastic director Matt Ross winning the Un Certain Regard directing Prize. Bleecker Street releases the film domestically on July 8, 2016, and CBS Films and Lionsgate will release Hell or High Water on August 12, 2016.
