Tandem Pictures, the New York-based indie production company whose recent credits include the Sundance Film Festival pic The Eyes of My Mother, has inked a production deal with Circle of Confusion. They will put together a slate of projects for production in 2016-17, and Tandem already has moved into Circle’s New York offices.

The production company launched in 2010 by Schuyler Weiss, Julie Christeas and Jeremy Kotin will also continue its commercial and production services business, where its clients include Netflix, Time Inc. and Microsoft. Its next feature is Ghost Team, which stars Jon Heder alongside David Krumholtz, Melonie Diaz, Paul W. Downs, Justin Long, Tom Schiller and Amy Sedaris. The pic, about a team of ghost hunters who get more than they bargained for when they embark on their own paranormal investigation, hits theaters August 12.

Circle of Confusion is a producer on The Walking Dead franchise, PlayStation’s Powers, Cinemax’s Robert Kirkman series Outcast and Douglas Adams’ Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency for BBC America. On the film side they recently produced American Ultra, Mr Right and Spare Parts with George Lopez.
